Aromatherapy is the practice of using essential oils to balance and harmonize the health of our Mind, Body and Spirit and enhances our body’s inherent healing process.
What Are Essential Oils?
Essential oils are the pure essence of the stems, leaves, flowers, bark and roots of plants and trees. The most common extraction method of essential essences is via steam or water distillation.
There are several ways to use aromatherapy and essential oils to enhance our health and well-being. During your Reiki, reflexology, yoga or chakra balancing session with me, I will diffuse essential oil into the air. Taking a whiff of an essence directly from the bottle is also beneficial as it stimulates brain function.
What Kind of Essential Oils Do You Use?
I use pure, 100% organic and/or wildcrafted medicinal grade essential oils.
Why Do I Need Aromatherapy?
When we apply essential oils to our skin, they are immediately absorbed into and travel through our bloodstream, promoting whole body healing. Aromatherapy can be used for many reasons such as pain relief, as a mood enhancer and for insect bites, to name a few. Aromatherapy has many health benefits in its own right; however, it is also a great “add-on” to any existing therapy or medical treatment you may already have in place.
