Private yoga instruction is a great way to learn and grow your practice at your own pace and comfort level. With proper alignment, modifications, adjustments and guidance you will be well on your way to creating a safe and lasting yoga practice that you’ll want to do every day.
In Sanskrit, yoga means to yoke or union. Yoga guides us to unite our Mind, Body and Spirit through regular practice. There is no need for fancy balancing or binding poses to reap the benefits of yoga. True yoga is about connecting to your breath and synching your breath to each movement of a pose and while holding a pose.
I teach two different styles of yoga: Level 1 and Restorative. Please read the descriptions below to learn more about each style of yoga. I look forward to seeing you on the mat.
Level 1 Yoga
This is the place to start if you are new to yoga. Our sessions together will focus on foundational yoga poses, proper breathing and alignment. Modifications will be given to meet your fitness and comfort level. I will have a few props to assist you, if needed.
Benefits of practicing yoga on a regular basis:

Restorative Yoga is a sequence of 5-6 passive stretching poses that are held for 5 or more minutes. Props are used to support your body so that you can safely and comfortably get into and stay in a posture for an extended amount of time.
Benefits of a restorative yoga practice:
- Calms the central nervous system
- Rests and rejuvenates the muscles and connective tissue
- Stimulates and soothes internal organs
- Balances chakras
Our sessions together will begin with a gentle warm up. Next we will move into the restorative poses. I will have plenty of props to assist you. I will provide a bolster, blocks, blanket and strap.
What to Bring
Please bring the following items with you to our yoga session:
- Yoga mat
- Eye pillow (optional)
- Any props you feel will help you
Private lessons can be held at your home or at a nearby park; weather permitting.
Rates and Packages
60 minute yoga lesson $100
5 – 60 minute yoga lessons $400 ($100 savings!)
10 – 60 minute yoga lessons $750 ($250 savings!)
**Advanced payment is required for all packages and secures our agreed upon date and time for your lessons. Payments are gratefully accepted via PayPal and credit card.
**Packages must be used within 6 months. There is no refund for unused yoga lessons.
